FAQs

Q: Where do you ship?

A: Pretty much anywhere in the world!

Q: How much does shipping cost?

A: Shipping costs will be calculated after you placed an order because many factors have to be taken into considerations: Address of delivery, shipping method, speed, insurance, etc. Some pieces can be rolled and shipped in a tube*, while highly textured paintings must remain stretched on a wood frame to avoid crackling.

Do not hesitate to send an email to art@nordicdesign.ca for current shipping rates prior to purchasing a painting.

Important: Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. It is not possible for us at this moment to provide you information regarding these fees.

*You’ll simply have to re-stretch the work with the help of a local art handler or framer for a small cost.

Q: When can I expect to receive my piece?

A: Shipping can take up to 21 days, depending on your delivery address. We are not responsible for delays due to customs A tracking number will be sent to you.

Q: Is shipping safe for the artwork? What if it arrives damaged?

A: Every painting will be carefully packaged by the artist, according to standardized specifications set by our delivery carrier. The work will be delivered to the address indicated in the order, and a signature will be required to attest it has been received.

We strongly recommend insuring the delivery. In the rare case that a painting arrives broken or damaged, please quickly get in touch with us so we can find a solution as soon as possible. If the work cannot be repaired or restored, you will be reimbursed. Note that if you forgo the insurance and the package does not arrive at destination and/or is damaged, there are no refunds.

Q: How can I pay for the artwork?

A: All major credit cards are accepted via our Stripe portal or e-Interact transfer (Canadian residents only). For all transactions exceeding your credit limit, contact us.

Q: I'd like my artwork framed. Can you help with this?

A: Sure! A few framing options are available at a preferred rate at one of our local partners. If this is something you are interested in, let us know and we will send more information. Note that a supplement will be added to the delivery costs due to extra weight and shipping requirements for framed artwork.

Q: Can I cancel my order?

A: It’s ok to change your mind. We kindly ask that you request a cancellation within 24 hours of purchase.

Q: Can I return the artwork?

A: If the work does not correspond to what you were expecting, you can send it back within 14 days, starting on the day you receive the piece. Return costs including insurance, custom fees and taxes (if applicable) are the responsibility of the buyer. Please ship the painting back in its original packaging. We will issue a refund up to 72hrs after the artist received the work back. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Note that custom or personalized orders can’t be returned.

Q: Is the artwork exactly like I see on my screen?

A: We did our best to represent the piece as accurately as possible. It is important to know however that due to photographic lighting sources or your monitor settings, the painting’s actual colors may vary slightly from what appears on your screen. Also, the lifestyle images were created to show the work in context, and proportions are approximate.
